Back-to-School Year Info

Back to School Update

Hello Gotha Families

The start of the school year via [email protected] for ALL students is quickly approaching!  ALL students should plan to log on to Canvas following their schedule periods 1 - 7 beginning at 9:30 on Monday August 10th.  Our Face 2 Face students will join us on campus on August 21st.  Schedules should be visible on Skyward Parent Access late next week.

I wanted to update all of you with some important dates:

In partnership with our Gotha PTO, we are having a PTO Membership Drive Through for our 7th and 8th grade parents.  Parents can drive by the school on Friday July 31st and, by becoming a 2020-2021 PTO Member, you will be able to also pick up your student’s tentative schedule early.

7th Grade parents are invited to drive by between 9am and 12pm and 8th Grade parents are invited to drive by between 1pm and 4pm.  Spirit wear will also be available for purchase!

Device distribution and schedule pick-up for 6th graders will be by appointment Tuesday - Thursday of next week.  Please sign up for a slot by visiting If you have chosen the Face to Face option for your 6th grader, you will be able to tour the campus and find your student’s classrooms at that time.  PTO will also be on campus those days for membership questions and for purchasing Gotha Spirit Wear.

Meet Your Teacher will be virtual this year.  On Thursday, August 6th, you will receive an email with a link to our virtual introductions.  You will then be able to click on the videos for your teachers to get important contact information and any materials needed.  If your student will need to pick up anything from the school, such as a consumable workbook or other materials, you can drive by the school on Friday the 7th between 10am and 2pm to pick those up.

We will have our first SAC meeting on August 17th.  Please see the attached flier if you are interested in being a part of this committee.  School Advisory Committee 20-21

I know this is a lot of information and all of it is very different than in previous years.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to make sure students (and parents) are ready to go on the 10th.

I hope you are well.  We are all excited to get into a new groove and start this year.  As always, It’s a GREAT day to be a Grizzly!
