Mission: To lead our students to success with the support and involvement of families and the community.

Hello, Gotha Families. Here is your Gotha update for the week October 22, 2018!

We handed out student IDs early! Students are now expected to wear their student IDs each day. I saw many kids wearing them on Friday. Please remind your student to keep them in their backpacks and to wear them each day.

We are going to continue our kindness theme throughout the year. You can go to and click on PARENTS AND FAMILIES to see ways you can participate at home. When you catch your students doing something kind, post it on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #gothaiskind

October 23 - 31 will will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of the importance of living a drug free life. Here are the themed days and plans for Red Ribbon Week:

10/23: Drugs are Tacky (wacky tacky day)
10/24: Red-y to be Drug Free (wear red)
10/25: Too Smart to Do Drugs (dress like a genius)
10/29: Join the Fight Against Drugs (wear camo)
10/30: Living Drug-Free is No Sweat (wear sweats/pajamas)
10/31: Scare Away Drugs (wear a costume) - no masks and school appropriate

Some of our Gotha Chorus students performed the National Anthem at a recent Orlando Magic game. They were AWESOME! A video of their performance can be seen here:

Our Geometry, Algebra, 8th Grade Science and 7th Grade Civics students recently took a quarterly district Performance Monitoring Activity to gauge what they have learned throughout the first quarter. I am happy to report that our Gotha students outperformed the OCPS district average on all four activities. Congratulate your 7th and 8th graders on a job well done!

Please remember that dropping off or picking up your student on Gotha Road or from the parking lot are serious safety concerns. Please drop off and pick up from the sidewalk in front of the school entrance, along the cafeteria and gym side of the building ONLY. We will have deputies monitoring Gotha Rd. for these traffic violations.
