Week of October 5, 2026

What a week, Grizzlies! 💜🩵 Thank you to all of our families for your incredible support of our FALL fundraiser. Every donation and every share helps us enhance our spaces, prepare for the renovation process, and make sure our students continue to have amazing experiences even while construction is underway. We’ll celebrate the end of our fundraiser this Friday with our Silent Disco!  Please remember that students must be registered at mybooster.com to participate—and registration is completely FREE!

This Friday also marks the end of the quarter, so please be sure to check for updates from teachers regarding missing assignments, upcoming deadlines, and any important end-of-quarter information. We have a busy week ahead, and we’re ready to finish the quarter strong!

SILENT DISCO FUNdraiser: WE’RE NOT DONE YET!

We’re entering the final days of our Silent Disco FUNdraiser, but we’re NOT done yet!  There is still time to jump in and help us finish strong!

Haven’t registered yet? It’s not too late! All it takes is registering at MyBooster.com with your 7th period teacher and sharing your student’s fundraising page with family and friends. That’s it! Every share and every new donation helps us get closer to our goal which gets us to duct tape Mrs. Emery to the wall! 

And today is the LAST DAY of our Weekend Challenge!  The student who gets the most new donations this weekend will win a Sundae Party at school with 5 of their friends!

So, Grizzlies, let’s make these final days count! Keep sharing, keep fundraising, and let’s finish this Silent Disco FUNdraiser STRONG! 🩵💜

💗 EXTREME PINK OUT — October 7!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re going BIG with an EXTREME PINK OUT on Wednesday, October 7! We’re asking everyone to join us in showing their support by wearing as much pink as possible! From head to toe, the brighter and pinker, the better!

And remember: 
On Wednesdays in October, we wear PINK! 💕 Let’s fill Gotha with pink and show our support for breast cancer awareness!
 
LITERACY NEWS

Literacy News

We want to celebrate the TWENTY-THREE students who have started the Sunshine State Readers Challenge. Read a Sunshine State book and come to the Media Center to take a short comprehension quiz to earn Bear Bucks, prize wheel spins, and more. Students who read and pass the test for all 15 SSYRA books will earn a FREE trip to FUN SPOT!

The last day to qualify for rewards and the trip is Thursday, March 11th. Happy Reading!💜🐻📚

OCPS Code of Student Conduct Updates

As always, the OCPS Code of Student Conduct can be found HERE.

As we head into the final days of the quarter, we know students can get a little squirrelly as they get excited for the long weekend, Silent Disco, and a well-earned break! We want to remind everyone that our Code of Conduct is in effect every day, in every class, and in every setting. Consistent expectations for behavior help create a safe, focused learning environment—and there is a strong connection between student behavior, time on task, and academic achievement. When students are respectful, make responsible choices, and maximize their instructional time, they are better positioned to learn, complete their work, and be successful. Let’s finish the quarter strong by making good choices and staying focused.

PTO Updates

As we prepare for a major campus renovation, the Silent Disco FUNdraiser funds will be used for something that will make an impact now and for years to come! Our vision is to create a highly visible, movable Gotha landmark—such as large, custom GOTHA letters featuring our Grizzly and school colors—that can build school pride during construction and eventually become a permanent feature of our newly renovated campus. Rather than investing in something that could be lost during construction, we want this fundraiser to help create a lasting symbol of what makes Gotha special: a place to Learn. Gather. Belong. 💜🩵🐻
