Gotha Update

2025-2026 be the ONE.

Week of May 11, 2026

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and to those who lovingly fill the role of a mother. Thank you for the care, strength, encouragement, and support you give our Gotha students every day. We celebrate and appreciate you today and always!

State Testing Update

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and focus during last week’s state ELA and Math assessments! Their dedication and learning gains are a reflection of the effort they’ve shown all year, and we celebrate their achievements and perseverance.

This Tuesday, our 7th and 8th grade students will take their Civics or Science state assessments. Please review the included bell schedule and help ensure students arrive on time, well rested, and ready to do their best.

Thank you for your continued support as we finish the testing season strong!

Common Final Exams

Common Final Exams begin soon. Please check with your student regarding their testing schedule, as they may not have finals every day. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to your student’s teachers for more information. The bell schedule for the week is included

Literacy News

As summer approaches, we encourage all students to keep reading throughout the break! Summer reading helps students strengthen comprehension, build vocabulary, maintain academic growth, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Even a few minutes of reading each day can make a big difference in helping students return to school confident and prepared for the new year.

To support families, we are including a link to the Orange County Library System, which offers free books, digital resources, reading programs, and activities for students of all ages.

OCPS Code of Student Conduct Updates

As always, the OCPS Code of Student Conduct can be found HERE.

As we continue through testing season, we want to remind families that changes in routine and testing pressure can sometimes create stress for students, which may show up in behaviors at school or at home. We appreciate your support in encouraging rest, positive choices, and perseverance during this time.

Please remember that we will continue to follow the Code of Student Conduct through the very last day of school to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. On testing days, when schedules may be adjusted, early dismissal will remain at the discretion of families if needed.
