Gotha Update

2025-2026 be the ONE.

Gotha Update - Week of December 15, 2025

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I cannot believe we have just one week left until the end of the second quarter. We are half way through the school year already. That means grades in all classes will need to be finalized. Please make sure you are check the Skyward Family Portal for any missing work.

We are back to a normal bell schedule all week. We were lenient with tardies last week, but we are back on top of it. Students need to make sure they are moving from class to class within those four minutes of the passing periods.

Literacy News

Reading over long breaks is essential because it prevents learning loss, strengthens language and comprehension skills, and helps students return to school more confident and prepared. Even small amounts of daily reading can make a big difference.

Consider going to the Orange County Library System website to find your closest library and to check out their Winter Break features.

OCPS Code of Student Conduct Updates

As always, the OCPS Code of Student Conduct can be found HERE.

We have recently observed an increase in horseplay among students, and we want to remind everyone that horseplay is a violation of the Code of Student Conduct. Our priority is to ensure that all students remain safe and make responsible choices. We understand that this time of year can be challenging for middle school students, but with your continued support, we know our students can rise to the occasion and demonstrate the respect and responsibility that make our school community great.
