ESports Information
ESports is a tryout-based team sport within Gotha Athletics. All gamers will have to have a minimum of 2.0 GPA and represent Gotha with sportsmanship, teamwork, good behavior, and commitment. Gamers are expected to attend practices and competitions. Gamers are expected to communicate with the coaches if there is a need to miss practice or a competition. If there are any behavior or attendance issues a player may be removed from the team during the season.
Registration- Esports will be done through Aktivate and each applicant will need to complete the “Parental Consent for Student Participation in School Clubs” form. Please be sure to designate the Club on the provided form and sign and date all locations necessary to give permission.
PlayVS- Please make sure that your child is registered with PlayVS, which is the service we use for game play. This step is required in order to add a student-athlete to our player rosters. If your child is 13, have them follow the steps at PlayVS Account Setup to create an account. If they are under 13, you must first create an account, and then create a child account for them. Instructions can be found at PlayVS Middle School Parent Setup Guide.
Parent Square- Please make sure you are registered on Parent Square. This will be the main means of communication and it is imperative that the coaches and/or athletic director be able to notify of any changes or situations that may arise.
